Apples to Oranges

My favorite part of this is the apple, I guess because I LOVE apples and this makes me want to eat one... damn, I just realized I forgot to color in their eyebrow... oh well, lol...

sketches sketches sketches

So, I have given up sketching on the computer... just 'cause I think I draw better traditionally... I don't really know what's the next step after sketching... I was thinking of inking but I always get nervous and end up having wobbly contours... or I was thinking of just rendering it completely in pencil then coloring it in photoshop but these are all due tomorrow... then there's just coloring it as is and modifying it here and there... but I'm tired of drawing half ass...

I guess option #2 + not sleeping + coffee...

Tea or Tee?

OPTION ONE:

OPTION TWO:

So, here's my image for the Friends of Illustrators Silent Auction piece. Narciso gave me the idea, but I've always been a fan of the Fadeaway Girls by Coles Phillips. It's 12.5" x 19" and rendered with charcoal. Anyway, today has been unexpectedly exciting, full of booze and inhalation of carbon monoxide...all in all a somewhat (considered) good day. =)

"I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member."

So someone reported me on Facebook and they deleted my account. I guess my mini movie reviews and pictures of food offended somebody. And you would think I would be upset by this, but I'm not. I find it somewhat funny and a blessing in disguise. I don't mind the stat updates, but who cares what you're doing every 5 minutes?! The only thing that bugs me about this is I'm going to have to create a new account, then refriend everyone... maybe I'll do that next month...

Vague would mean they kind of knew what they want.

So this was another instance where they had a bunch of adjectives and threw it at you, you blend it all together and voila--it's not what they want. So you do it over two more times... and drats, it's still not what they want. Why is this so hard? They want something fun, edgy, but not too crazy--that's all the info you need when they ask you to make something. They're somewhat upset it's still not done, but alas, they see one of your post its in your shit storm of paperwork and say "Make it look like that, but make it fun, edgy, but not too crazy..." Stupid. Why didn't I think of that before?

Diva Concepts

Some concept sketches for a project i'm working on, some of them aren't even for the same character.

I have a fascination with ties. They're kind of like getting funky shoe laces for your sneakers. There are many ways to tie a tie, my preference is the half windsor.
